We
both got married in April 1999. We could not meet each
other in person and were interacting only through letters,
cards and telephones. Even at the time of my husband's
interview in May 2001, I could not present myself at the
British High Commission because I was to attend court
hearing in May 2001 in UK for the ongoing court proceedings
against my ex-employer for damages following an industrial
accident. Our complicated case became successful only
with the efforts of Mr. Vivek Chadha, immigration lawyer
of UK Immigration Consultancy Ltd. who handled the case
in UK and India by preparing the necessary documentation
and provided us with counselling. Mr. Vivek Chadha personally
represented us at the British High Commission and my husband
was granted settlement visa to join me in UK.
